Very aromatic and seductive with an abundance of pure red berries and hints of rosewater. An array of lovely red fruits from raspberries and plum to bright red cherry, which are persistent and carry the wine for a long finish. A Pinot of very well defined fruit flavours with a nice textural mouthfeel.
The cooler and slightly later 2017 vintage accentuated the more delicate and precise flavours of Pinot Noir. A blend of the three different clones across the vineyard in roughly equal proportions; each clone was fermented separately in 2 tonne open fermenters with daily gentle pump-overs and hand plunging for approximately 16 days. The pressed wine was matured in a mix of French oak barriques and puncheons (mainly one and two year old barrels) for 8 months prior to blending and bottling.
